Cake Serving Sizes

So how much cake do I need?

That depends on your event! For a party size cut, the suggested serving size is: 1"W x 2"L x tier height. For a wedding, the suggested serving size is 1"W x 1”L x tier height. Cake size guide offers the larger party size cuts for each of my cakes. 


Single tier cakes ~

Regular standing height:  5.5” (four layers of cake with three layers of buttercream)

Tall standing height: 8-9" (this is a double-barreled cake giving you in essence 2 shorter cakes stacked on top of each other with a cardboard cake round in the middle) It is a 2-tier cake with both tiers being the same width.

Cake Size Guide

Below are the servings, dimensions, and recommended cake stand sizes for each cake.

SINGLE TIER CAKES-


4" Petite (6 servings)

  • 4" diameter x 4 cake layers; approximately 5.5” high
  • Cake board: 6" in diameter


6” Regular (14-16 servings)

  • 6" diameter x 4 cake layers; approximately 5.5” high
  • Cake board: 10" in diameter
  • Recommended cake stand: 10-12" in diameter 


6” Tall (28-32 servings)

  • 6" diameter; approximately 8” high
  • The interior is separated by a cardboard round halfway through, so it is essentially two- 3 layer cakes stacked upon one another. 
  • Cake board: 12" in diameter 
  • Recommended cake stand: 12-14" in diameter


8” Tall (48-52 servings) 

  • 8” diameter; approximately 8” high
  • The interior is separated by a cardboard round halfway through, so it is essentially two- 3 layer cakes stacked upon one another
  • Cake board: 12” in diameter  
  • Recommended cake stand: 12-14” in diameter 


2 TIER CAKES-


Small 2 Tier (20-22 servings)

  • Top tier 4" diameter x 4 layers, approximately 5" high
  • Bottom tier 6" diameter x 4 layers approximately 5.5" high
  • Cake board 12" diameter
  • Recommended cake stand: 12-14” in diameter 


Medium 2 Tier (38-42 servings) 

  • Top tier: 6" diameter x 4 layers; approximately 5.5” high
  • Bottom tier: 8” diameter x 4 layers; approximately 5.5” high
  • Cake board: 12” in diameter 
  • Recommended cake stand: 12-14" in diameter 


Large 2 Tier (62-68 servings) 

  • Top tier: 6” diameter x 4 layers; approximately 5.5” high
  • Bottom tier: 8” diameter x two -3-layer cakes stacked upon one another; approximately 8” high
  • Cake board: 12” in diameter 
  • Recommended cake stand: 12-14" in diameter

*For two-tier cakes, you may choose a different flavor for each tier.

Cake Design

Customizing Your Cake

Before you order, please understand that this is a work of art, and all flowers are hand-piped and different. If you want a specific color to be matched perfectly, please SEND a swatch as colors can appear differently from your computer screen to mine. 


Flower selection may vary from what is shown making each custom order unique. If a specific main flower in the arrangement is desired, please mention in your inquiry. If unspecified, the flower type in the arrangement will be baker's choice. Common types for main flowers are Roses, Peonies, Hydrangeas complimented with smaller filler flowers. 


Please also be aware that I am unable to copy other baker's work or design. Pictures submitted to me would be an "inspiration" to work towards but not an exact duplicate. 


NOTES

*I refrain from placing additional elements onto my decorated cakes including but not limited to real foliage, fondant, cake toppers, macarons, chocolate sphere balloons, etc. Most of my designs will allow the customer to add these elements following cake pickup. 


*Regarding piped writing- I do not offer messages on the cake. You may order a cake topper to be placed after you receive the cake.

Ordering

How far in advance should I order?

I recommend ordering your cake as soon as you know the date that you need it as I am limited to the number of orders I can accept on a weekly basis. Please start by checking my availability CALENDAR  to make sure the date you are inquiring about is still available. If you are unable to view the calendar, EMAIL me before filling out order form.

2 tier orders  21 days advance notice

Pickup

Pickup Logistics

Orders are for pickup only from my home.  An email reminder will be sent to you 1-2 days before the scheduled due date with pickup information. 


It is important that adequate space is available in your vehicle to safely transport your cake to your party destination. Please clear a space in advance of order pickup at the footwell or trunk of your car so that the cake box can remain flat. Seats are not recommended.


Please adhere to the pickup time agreed upon and text if you will be running late. Orders not picked up will be forfeited.
