Unlike cakes, cupcakes should not be stored in the refrigerator. A cool room temperature out of direct sunlight within the box is the best
Cakes should be stored in refrigerator and removed 1-2 hours prior to serving depending on the time of year. The cake should not be placed anywhere in direct sunlight or heat (ie. by a bright window, by a fireplace, outside in sunlight) If your event is being held outside, you MUST provide shade for the cake, and refrigeration prior to event start is HIGHLY recommended! (Reminder that buttercream begins to soften at room temperature)
